Coglink Features

Coglink has several advanced features that can be added to the "basic" program at anytime.  The base system is designed to be as simple as possible, consisting of only the email partners, a send, and a quit button.  However, we realize that some people may need more advanced features to have an enjoyable experience.  Or may find that as you become familiar with Coglink that you want to try out new features and abilities.

You can call or email the Coglink to ask for any one of the following features to be added or removed from your program.  More information about the features is in your Coglink manual or you can ask us for more information over the phone or through email.

 

Features:
Cancel message	Adds a button to the composer window that lets users cancel messages that they have composed.
Delete message	Adds a button to the reader window for deleting messages received from buddies.
Save message	Adds a button to the reader window for saving received messages.  It basically allows the user to do something besides reply or delete.
Save message to folder	Adds a button to the reader window for exporting received messages/attachments to a folder on the Windows desktop.
Import attachment	Adds a button to the composer window that allows users to attach files to their outgoing messages
Text-to-Speech	Adds a button to the reader window that will speak received messages. (requires mailing of a new disk)
Sent Items Archive	Adds a button next to each buddy in the inbox for viewing a list of previously sent messages to that buddy.
CC	Allows the user to send a message to more than one buddy.  Click on additional buddies after composer window is showing.
Password protection	Upon startup of Coglink a screen will prompt the user for a password.
Bullseye	After X seconds of no user input a series of circles will identify the location of the mouse arrow.
DiskSpace	A dialog box will warn the user when disk drive is almost full (when less than X MB of disk space is free). (recommended for usb users)
Old/New mail Inbox	Buddies in the inbox have dual buttons.  New mail button brings up unread message.  Old mail button brings up previously read messages.
Dialog Boxes:
Send Confirmation	Dialog box that asks for confirmation before sending a user’s message.
Cancel Confirmation	Dialog box that asks for confirmation before canceling a user’s message.
Delete Confirmation	Dialog box that asks for confirmation before deleting a buddy’s message.
Inbox Buddies:
Cog the Chatterbot	Have fun conversing with a computer.
Survey	Receive occasional surveys and fun facts
HelpDesk	Ask the Coglink HelpDesk staff for help and receive important announcements.
Blog	Converse with a group of other Coglink users about various topics.
Look-and-feel:
Font size	Font size of button text, captions, and messages can be changed.
Interface Colors	The background and foreground colors of all parts of the Coglink interface can be changed.
Inbox location, size	The size and location of the inbox can be adjusted to right or left and any size.
